Ida Nones - Cruz: A MELLOW YELLOW AFFAIR

12.9.11 -- A beauty brand manager for Store Specialists Inc., Ida and I hit it off from the very start -- our similar love for feminine details, giggle-filled makeup and travel talks in between discussing designs for her entourage. Ida has become a friend and my travel guru (sorry for the travel questions on BBM!).





What we never talked about though was our fathers... who turned out to be college frat brothers and best buddies! Small world!!

Her entourage girls, especially her sisters, are all such darlings. I immensely enjoyed working with this bunch.

Claude Garde-Abril

Another bridechilla. She evokes such grace and kindness, one would instantly love Claude upon meeting her. That was exactly the case with me.

She kept saying "It's sooo me! My mom says so too!" of her organza ruffle skirt and crystal-detailed corded lace bodice wedding gown. It is music to my ears when a client says such things because it is my main goal as the designer.

Another long-term affair finally tying the knot. Awwwww. <3

She was such a kikay bride, every meeting and fitting would turn into a gabfest on beauty products (mainly Galvanics whom she--as well as my dad--swears by). Have yet to try it myself!


The skirt of her dress is made of shredded bias cut illusion tulle and I used corded lace for her corset.
