Virginia Lovin'

Ethel Daito-dela Cruz had a beautiful, intimate wedding in her hometown of Virginia Beach. The motif was yellow and fire red with handmade flower details. The wedding gown was made of french lace with flower accents in fine tulle.

The name of the game was simple: wearable chic with my usual feminine details. Nothing too fancy or frilly. No long train.

I also made the "updated barong" top of the groom and groomsmen. It was made of soft linen as requested ("Nothing itchy and something super comfy and wearable please".) The men's cotton barongs also had cherry blossom embroidery at the end of the sleeves and hemlines - the bride spent half of her childhood in Japan hence the cherry blossom and fire red references.

This was back in 2007. One of my favorite couples to have worked with. :)
